About Arosa Ranch
Our young family made the move from Vancouver to the beautiful Okanagan in British Columbia, Canada. We love to hike in the summer and snowshoe and ski in the winter, garden, swim, camp, fish, hunt and cook among other things.
We’re excited to share our nature retreat with you all – come join us in paradise!
Both born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Maya and Thomas have been coming to the South Okanagan for many years to enjoy all that this region has to offer. Always drawn to the outdoors, they knew that as they grew their little family, they wanted nature to be a significant part of their children’s lives.
Maya has worked for over 15 years in Mental health and Substance Use in the Greater Vancouver region. Working in Health Promotion, she believes in the restorative power of nature for our physical and mental health.
Thomas is the owner and operator of Fresh Start Recycling, a company with a social and environmental commitment to our planet.
Together, along with their two young kids, they envision creating a vacation destination that families and individuals can truly retreat to nature year after year.
Ranch History
Arosa Ranch was the dream of Marianne Arpagaus who arrived in Canada from Switzerland in 1996. With many years of owning and operating a hotel in Switzerland, every detail was carefully considered to make Arosa Ranch a comfortable and warm stay in spectacular surroundings. Marianne and John have welcomed people from all over the world to this wonderful acreage and we hope to continue their dream into the future. Over the years, Marianne and John have created and maintained many wonderful connections in this community; we feel very lucky to have found this wonderful place to call home.
